Demolition work

We perform demolition works across Estonia: interior demolition, demolition of partition walls and concrete structures, and demolition of smaller buildings and facilities. We offer the entire job from one place, from the demolition project to debris removal; therefore, demolition, cleaning, and removal come from a single provider.

Types of demolition works we perform

  • interior demolition: partition walls, suspended ceilings, old finishes, and floor coverings
  • demolition of concrete and reinforced concrete structures
  • demolition of concrete floors and bases
  • demolition of bathrooms and wet rooms
  • dismantling of plumbing, piping, and decommissioned utilities
  • demolition of smaller buildings, outbuildings, and facilities
  • sorting and removal of demolition waste

Interior demolition

Interior demolition is the most frequent task. Partition walls, suspended ceilings, old finishes, floor coverings, and decommissioned utilities are removed, leaving the building frame upon which new construction can begin. Before work, we cover the remaining surfaces and limit the spread of dust, as demolition often takes place in a building that is simultaneously in use.

Demolition of concrete structures

For concrete and reinforced concrete, we make cuts using diamond saws and drills. This same technology is in our daily use—see diamond drilling and diamond sawing—therefore, the concrete work remains in the hands of our own team, and the cut dimensions follow the drawings.

In the case of a bathroom, construction can follow demolition immediately. The same team also handles waterproofing and tiling—see bathroom demolition and construction.

How the process works

The work begins with an inspection: what comes down, what remains, what is the volume, what is the access like, and where the container can be placed. Based on this, we provide a price and agree on a schedule. On-site, we cover the remaining surfaces and walkways, then demolish, sort the waste on-site, and haul it away. Finally, we hand over the surface so that the next stage of work can begin.

Waste and debris

A large part of the demolition price depends on what happens to the debris. Therefore, we agree on the waste management separately. Usually, we sort the waste on-site and haul it away ourselves. If the client has their own container or wishes to keep the metal and other materials, we take this into account in the quote. Please agree on this before work begins, as it significantly affects the price.

What to communicate regarding the site

For most jobs, access, electricity, and a place for the container or debris to go temporarily are required. Please let us know if the building is in use, which floor the work is on, and if there is an elevator in the building, as manual carrying is a separate task. The removal of a load-bearing wall or a part of it must be agreed upon with a structural engineer and supported if necessary.

If there may be cables or piping in the area to be demolished, please inform us before work, as these are not visible inside the wall. If there are cables or piping inside the wall that were not reported before work, the resulting damage will be borne by the client. The same applies to asbestos. If the building may contain fiber cement roofing (eternit), old insulation, or old adhesives, please state this before work. Handling material containing asbestos requires a separate permit and is agreed upon separately.

Price

Mehetund on 30 €. Hinnad on käibemaksuta, lõpphinnale lisandub käibemaks.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much do demolition works cost?

Mehetund on 30 € + käibemaks, aga enamik objekte saab hinna pakkumisega, sest maht, ligipääs ja jäätmekäitlus on igal objektil erinevad. Saada kirjeldus ja paar pilti, siis ütleme hinna.

Do you haul away the demolition debris?

Yes, sorting and removal are part of the job unless agreed otherwise. If the client has their own container or wishes to keep the material, we take this into account in the quote.

Can a load-bearing wall be removed?

The removal of a load-bearing wall or a part of it must be agreed upon with a structural engineer, and depending on the opening, a lintel or temporary support may be required. We do not remove load-bearing structures without a project design.

Can the work be performed in an occupied building?

Yes, it is possible. We cover the remaining surfaces and walkways, limit the spread of dust, and agree on a work schedule that fits with the activities ongoing in the building.

Do you handle asbestos?

The removal and handling of material containing asbestos requires a separate permit and is agreed upon separately. Let us know in your inquiry if the building may contain fiber cement roofing (eternit) or old insulation, so we can agree on that part immediately.

Do you also perform construction work after demolition?

In the case of a bathroom, we do the entire job from demolition to finishing. For other rooms, please write which part is needed, and we will review what we can do ourselves and what we cannot.

How quickly can you come to the site?

This depends on the schedule and the location of the site. Call or write to us, and we will tell you immediately when we can come.
